The Cup of Love

“If we taste of the cup of love, we shall cast away the world…” Baha’u’llah

If we know the knower of known reality as the knowing itself, (and not a body/mind), the distance between the apparent knower & the known shall close; shall be as naught. This means that believing in one’s self as an entity (which re-enforces the belief in a world of separate entities) shall be cast away.  The feeler & the felt shall be cast away, the senser & the sensed will be cast away. All ‘things shall be cast away; the seer & the seen, the hearer & the heard, the toucher & the touched, the taster and the tasted, the smeller & the smelled. What is left is the one knowing of experience, and that knowing is known as Love.

If we taste of this Cup; this Unified Reality; we shall cast away suffering, and know Love. The belief in a world of ‘things’ (a mind having its own distinct reality apart from objects made of matter) shall dissolve.
All that shall remain is one reality as Its always been; the formless & ever-present knowing itself.  The knowing itself is all there is. (not experiences divided, not thoughts divided, not feelings divided, not sensations divided, not sights-sounds-tastes-textures-smells divided).

There is only the one knowing experience of knowing, known through the agency of thinking-feeling-sensing-perceiving, and this known agency is made of knowing.

This dissolving of the distance between the subject and object of experience is to experience the Cup of Love; the Knowledge of Love. This is what is meant by casting away the world. It is the dissolving of objective reality; the dissolving of the apparent two. There is only one experience in Reality, and it is The Knowing itself. This is understood as Wisdom, felt as Love and perceived as Beauty.

Dissolving the Great Divide

If you don’t know who you are; if you don’t know that you are the Pure Spirit of Knowing with which all experience is equally known, how can you meet and recognize, (in the spirit of Unity and Understanding), the All-Wise Knowing with which your divided thoughts are known and are made of? How can you meet and recognize (in the spirit of Unity and Compassion) the All-Loving Knowing with which your divided feelings and sensations are known and are made of? How can you meet and recognize (in the spirit of Unity and Loveliness) the Beloved Beauty with which your divided perceptions are known and are made of?
Know this oh servant! Meet all experience in the spirit of Pure Knowing, so that, as Pure Knowing ItSelf, the distance between divided thinking, divided feeling, divided sensing, and divided perceiving can be dissolved once and for all. Merge the ancient & insufferable division of objective experience (separate will) with the One Direct Experience of Yourself, Pure Knowing.(God’s Will)

Cast Away The Things Ye Possess

“Cast away the things ye possess…”

means…

Cast away the pleasure-seeking-pain-avoiding activities ye hold on to.

Cast away your habitual choice to judge any thought, feeling, sensation, or perception as unacceptable or contemptible, and thus separate yourself from the true experience that you are. The Right Path is the Direct Path, which is Direct Experience. Direct Experience is to know the knowing of thinking, feeling, sensing and perceiving as one intimate knowing experience, regardless of the form, name or content it seems to take. To Know the known in its Unified Totality is to know God, is to know YourSelf, is to know True Happiness.

So cast away the notion that experience is to be divided into a multiplicity and diversity of ‘things’ to be held in judgement as separate from God. Re-member Yourself as the One & Only Knowing that is both knower and known.

To Whom God Shall Make Manifest

I turn to Him, (Glory of God) Whom God shall make manifest. I turn to the Knower, (Glory of Knowing) Whom Knowing shall make known. I am the Knower, the Knowing and the known.
The knowing is known by the knower and is made known by the knowing. I am the knower of the knowing and the known, made known by the knowing. All glory be to Pure Knowing.

I am never upset for the reason I think.

I am never upset for the reason I think. Neither am I happy for the reason I think. Never is an object, a substance, an activity, a state-of-mind, a situation or relationship the reason I openly or secretly “like it, accept it, or want it”. Never is it the reason I openly or secretly “dislike it, reject it or not want it”. It is never the “object or situation” that is the cause of my happiness or unhappiness.
The true cause of my unhappiness is the unbearable & intolerable distance and separation I’ve held and maintained from my own upsetting feelings and sensations. Out of ignorance of who I am and what they are, I chose to refuse to get close to them. Out of ignorance of who I am and what they are, I assumed it was in my best interest to separate from my uncomfortable feelings and sensations. As I continued to stay separate from them, they became more and more intolerable to get close to. Out of ignorance of myself and them, I refused to accept them and release them. They are my hidden shame & inferiority for feeling afraid. They are my hidden guilt for feeling angry and superior.
Happiness is that dissolution of that distance and separation. Happiness is the dissolution of the activity of keeping myself separate & apart from my feelings & sensations that I judged unacceptable; believing them to be intolerable & unbearable to let in and feel close to.
Some examples include boredom, restlessness, sorrow, loneliness, grief, shame, guilt, lack, fear, & physical pain.
Instead of the old pleasure seeking activities I became addicted to, I am deciding to courageously and compassionately confront my mind with the clear understanding that the activity of ‘seeking’ does not bring an end to the unbearable feelings and sensations I have separated myself from. The separating activity of seeking good feelings and sensations simply masks the pain from those feelings and sensations I’ve separated myself from.
I know what I need to do now, because I know who I am. I am Awareness, aware that all things known are my very own Self. I shall be bold. I shall welcome all foreign and alienated feelings & sensations that I judged as aliens and foreigners. I shall meet them all with curiosity and openness. I will get intimately close to them. I will see what they are truly made of. I will come to know them. I will come to Love then. I will cradle them and see and hear their beauty as My Own Beauty. In knowing them truly, I shall love them. I will become immersed in them as they become immersed in Me. We will merge. There will be no more separation. The Love & Unity shall be fully established, & the pain & suffering that seemed to be coming from life’s situations will be gone. I shall know and experience the peace that I am. Happiness is where there is no more desire, need, impulse or compulsion to escape; to separate myself from any particular feeling or sensation. They are all my creations and I love them all equally. I shall know the truth and the truth shall set me free.

The known is known as the Knowing

Experiences are not to be thought of as “appearances or situations” set apart to be interpreted as “ok or not ok”, “approved or disapproved”. All experience is simply “known”. This is all there is to experience; the knowing of it. It is Known. To know the known as purely the knowing, then you know what God is and what you are. Know the Knowing of experience. There is nothing else to know.

The True Knower

All experience is known… “what” is known can only be known if you know what really knows.
When experience shows up – all that truly shows up is the light of knowing – how else would you know that you’re experiencing anything at all?
With you inner eyes and inner ears, focus on the knowing of experience, (not the form) and you shall know both knower and known, for they are one and the same. If you, as a believer, look to the objects of experience to know anything, you will only ever ‘believe’ you are the knower knowing the known as something “other”. But in true knowing, there is no “other”. There is only the Knowing Itself.

Knowing Is One.

If you believe that you are a “knower” separate & different from your “known” experiences, then your mind does not yet know Its True Knowing Essence.
Mind’s True Essence is God’s Essence, and is the Real Knower. Stand as this formless Knowing, knowing all known experience as formless Knowing itself. See yourself not as something “known” believing you ‘know’ some other known experience separate than yourself. That mind will never know its Reality. To the mind that believes it is a real entity that has a nature other than what it perceives, it’s True Reality will remain unknown to it.
The true knower must see and know the known as Its Own Pure Formless Knowing without a separate “known”.
Know this oh seeking mind.

Not Two.

Reality is not two. Reality is not many. Reality is not mind separate from matter. Not a ‘me’ & a ‘you’, a mind perceiving matter.

Both are known equally, therefore, are united in the one Knowing that knows the knowers and the knowns alike. That Knowing is not inside a knower or known because anything that can be known is nothing but the knowing of it. It’s all Knowing. There’s not two knowings. What else is there to experience but pure knowing in its totality? Pure Knowing knows all things inclusively.

Knowing the knowing is not hidden in experience, but is shining in plain sight as Itself.

Looking out at objects, there are many things. Many Gods, many beings, many objects. The mind seems to see a multiplicity and diversity of forms and names, & many kinds of knowledge.

But, all experience, whether mind or matter, forms or names, feelings, concepts beliefs or perceptions; they are all known. Therefore, what knows them but Knowing itself? What else is there to experience other than the Knowing itself?

Pure Infinite Knowing is the only Reality that knows the nature of knowing; otherwise, how would the mind ever know anything exists at all, itself included? It’s because it is Knowing that knows knowing. And that’s all there Truly is to Infinite Reality.

The mind that doesn’t know itself as Pure Knowing, in ignorance , only can believe there’s an outside world, where it perceives real objects that have an objective separate reality of their own. This is the error in perception. There is no inside reality and outside reality. There is one Reality, and it’s not found in an any mind or any object made of stuff called matter. Reality is found in the looking at all things known, including the ignorant mind, and seeing that all that ‘has’ ever been known, ‘is’ presently known and ‘will ever be’ known is nothing but the Ever-Present Infinite Knowing that is being experienced, known and manifested right now & right here through Pure Mind. This is Pure Wisdom manifested.

The mind that knows itself as Pure Knowing Itself, knows Reality. Reality is the One Knowing. Period.

Only in its own ignorance of itself as Its One Reality, can a mind sees mind & matter as two separate things.

I am. God is.

One Knowing.

One Awareness.

One Experience.

Not two.

All experience is Formless Knowing

All Experience is a present & known appearance; a lit-up expression of Knowing. A “past memory” is not a real objective experience separate from the knowing of present thinking. A thought, regardless of its content, can never be known as something other than the Knowing that Knows Itself. All there is to thinking is knowing. Knowing is the Golden Thread than runs through all known experience. All experience is a creation of knowing; made of knowing, yet unknown to itself as something other than the Knowing of it. All experience is present and known. When Thinking occurs, it is present & known regardless of its content. When feeling, sensing, or perceiving arise, they are present and known regardless of their content. These experiences; or rays of Light, are known by Formless Knowing as the Formless Known. Only the known is known by the Knowing, knowing ItSelf. It knows no “other” (separate or different) than Itself.
